An opportunity to prove knowledge of cloud concepts, Azure services, Azure workloads, security and privacy in Azure, as well as Azure pricing and support. Candidates should be familiar with the general technology concepts, including concepts of networking, storage, compute, application support, and application development.
Candidates should have foundational knowledge of cloud services and how those services are provided with Microsoft Azure. The exam is intended for candidates who are just beginning to work with cloud-based solutions and services or are new to Azure.
Azure Fundamentals can be used to prepare for other Azure role-based or specialty certifications, but it is not a prerequisite for any.
Job Role: Administrator, Business User, Developer, Student, Technology Manager
Implementing, managing, and monitoring identity, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment, plus provision, size, monitor, and adjust resources, when needed.
Candidates should have subject matter expertise implementing, managing, and monitoring an organization’s Microsoft Azure environment.
An Azure administrator often serves as part of a larger team dedicated to implementing an organization's cloud infrastructure.
A candidate for this exam should have at least six months of hands-on experience administering Azure, along with a strong understanding of core Azure services, Azure workloads, security, and governance. In addition, this role should have experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure portal, and Azure Resource Manager templates.
Job Role: Administrator
Candidates should have foundational knowledge of core data concepts and how they are implemented using Microsoft Azure data services. Should be familiar with the concepts of relational and non-relational data, and different types of data workloads such as transactional or analytical.
This exam is intended for candidates beginning to work with data in the cloud.
Azure Data Fundamentals can be used to prepare for other Azure role-based certifications like Azure Database Administrator Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate, but it is not a prerequisite for any of them.

An opportunity to demonstrate knowledge of common ML and AI workloads and how to implement them on Azure.
Candidates for this exam should have foundational knowledge of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and related Microsoft Azure services.
This exam is intended for candidates with both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Data science and software engineering experience are not required; however, some general programming knowledge or experience would be beneficial.
Azure AI Fundamentals can be used to prepare for other Azure role-based certifications like Azure Data Scientist Associate or Azure AI Engineer Associate, but it is not a prerequisite for any of them.

This exam is designed for candidates looking to demonstrate foundational-level knowledge on the considerations and benefits of adopting cloud services in general and the Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud model. Candidates should have knowledge of available options and benefits gained by implementing Microsoft 365 cloud service offerings.
Candidates should have the requisite knowledge to recommend solutions that address common organizational IT challenges and to differentiate Microsoft 365 solutions from the competition in the market. Candidates should also have fundamental knowledge of offerings, optimizing licensing for cost effectiveness, and support options for organizations.
Candidates should be able to differentiate between Microsoft’s services and products (Microsoft 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365).
Job Role: Business User, Administrator
Candidates for this exam are Microsoft Teams administrators who manage Microsoft Teams to facilitate efficient and effective collaboration and communication in a Microsoft 365 environment.
Candidates for this exam must be able to plan, deploy, configure, and secure Teams chat, apps, channels, meetings, audio/video conferencing, live events, calling, and Microsoft Teams-certified devices. Candidates should have experience integrating Microsoft Teams with other workloads, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Microsoft 365 Groups, Power Platform, and with other Microsoft apps, third-party apps, and custom apps.
A Microsoft Teams Administrator also collaborates other functions, such as networking, telephony, licensing, security, compliance, user adoption, app development, and support.
Job Role: Administrator
This is a broad audience that may include business stakeholders, new or existing IT professionals, or students who have an interest in Microsoft security, compliance, and identity solutions.
Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 and want to understand how Microsoft security, compliance, and identity solutions can span across these solution areas to provide a holistic and end-to-end solution.
Job Role: Business User, Student
Responsibilities include threat management, monitoring, and response by using a variety of security solutions across their environment. The role primarily investigates, responds to, and hunts for threats using Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Azure Defender, Microsoft 365 Defender, and third-party security products. Since the Security Operations Analyst consumes the operational output of these tools, they are also a critical stakeholder in the configuration and deployment of these technologies.

The Identity and Access Administrator may be a single individual or a member of a larger team. This role collaborates with many other roles in the organization to drive strategic identity projects to modernize identity solutions, to implement hybrid identity solutions, and to implement identity governance.

Candidates implement the design provided by and in collaboration with a solution architect and the standards, branding and artifacts established by User Experience Designers. They design integrations to provide seamless integration with third party applications and services.
Candidates actively collaborate with quality assurance team members to ensure that solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements. They identify, generate, and deliver artifacts for packaging and deployment to DevOps engineers, and provide operations and maintenance training to Microsoft Power Platform administrators.
Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultants should be familiar with using Microsoft Power Platform components to extend and customize Microsoft apps and services such as Teams, Dynamics 365, Excel, and Word.

Candidates for this exam should have general knowledge of or relevant working experience in an Information Technology (IT) environment. They should also have a fundamental understanding of customer engagement principles and business operations.

A Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing omnichannel solutions that focus on service, quality, reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
This professional implements and designs service management visualizations and reports provided by and in collaboration with the solution architect. They collaborate with the customer engagement administrator to implement and upgrade Microsoft Power Platform components, including knowledge management, customer feedback, and connected services.
A Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant must have strong applied knowledge of customer service, including an understanding of industry terminology, priorities, standards, methodologies, customer service operations, and best practices. The functional consultant with customer service expertise also needs deep, practical experience and knowledge of how to meet user needs through Dynamics 365 Customer Service, including in-depth understanding of cases, knowledge management, queues, entitlements, resource scheduling, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), visualizations, connected services, the Customer Service Insights Add-in for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Virtual Agents, and Omnichannel for Customer Service. The functional consultant's knowledge should include a comprehensive understanding of the customer service application's role in relationship to the Dynamics 365 suite of applications, along with a basic understanding of the solution architecture and quality assurance.
Job Role: Functional Consultant
Candidates for this exam are Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Consultants with Field Service expertise. Candidates are responsible for implementing solutions that manage resources which complete the field service lifecycle.
Candidates implement the field service processes designed in collaboration with internal and external teams. This collaboration includes configuring the default administration areas of the Field Service application, deploying the Connected Field Service (IoT) solution and the mobile application, and implementing any additional customizations needed. Candidates are responsible for the configuration and deployment of the Field Service application in conjunction with the core customer service application.
Candidates must have knowledge of how to configure and customize components of the Field Service application, including configuring services, resources, characteristics, incidents, inventory integration, service agreements, resource scheduling, work orders, service tasks, field service user roles, field service settings, the Connected Field Service (IoT) solution, and configuration of the Field Service Mobile application. Candidates must be familiar with the Microsoft Power Apps-based mobile application. The Xamarin-based mobile application will not be covered on this exam.
Job Role: Functional Consultant
